Ferdinando Vichy was a Central figure in the production of Florentine sculpture at the end of the 19th century. Worked closely with the sculptors Cesare Lapin, Fortunato Galli, Pietro Bazzanti and Guglielmo Puja, exposing their work in the prestigious salon Bazzanti. Salon, in a collection that included the best works of marble sculpture, was founded by the father of the sculptor Pietro Bazzanti in 1822, and exists today. This composition was created in the best traditions of the Italian school of the 19th century.
